When sitting down doing work, certain muscles, like your neck and back muscles, engage to support you. Over time, those muscles can start to fatigue, and injuries can evolve. Micro breaks are small breaks to take every hour or so when working to rest your body and prevent strain on your body.

What are Micro Breaks?  

Caroline Samuelsen is a 2024 Corporate Communications intern for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. She is a rising junior at Northwestern University majoring in communications, business, and digital media/marketing. In her free time, she loves reading, driving, and working at The Hallmark store.
